Everyone needs to give me a big w00t w00t, cuz I am a surfer. Hector took me and Eden out and showed us the ropes. Of kelp. The actual surfing does not make a surfer, though. It just makes me a person who surfs. The fact that I ate sand pretty good a couple times, and that I went right back out completly undaunted and unafraid, and that I conquered many jellyfish, and rode there in a van, and still am getting small spurts of sea-water coming out of my nose, makes me a surfer. So yeah. Rejoice, all, today I became awesome.

The last time I tried to surf, I was eleven and ran (/hobbled/rolled/spasmed) out of the water shrieking as a jelly fish attacked my legs.

Aaww! I owe my jellyfish conquests to one [info]lien_the_lost. She made me swim in the bay a few years back, where it's basically unavoidable that you are stung, and this proved that it didn't hurt quite so much, and made me bold and adventurous.
